An elegant Large Italian Mid-Century Modern table lamp crafted in luminous, hand-blown Murano art glass, by Barovier & Toso. Dating to the early 1960s, this striking lamp features a sophisticated baluster silhouette split into two distinct tiers of high-relief fluted (ribbed) segments. The glass displays a beautiful lavender hue seamlessly cased with creamy white opaline stripes. This complex opalescent technique distributes light softly and diffusely, giving the entire body a warm, atmospheric, and translucent glow when illuminated.
The sculptural art glass body rests on a matching original silvered/gilded custom wood base, grounding the piece with a classic touch of post-war Italian Hollywood Regency glamour. A timeless standalone statement piece perfect for a modern bedroom console, entry vignette, or sophisticated living space. Newly wired for US with new nickel fittings, 3 way socket and cord. Glass alone is 21" tall, overall height top of socket 27", base 7" wide.
Shade not included for photography purposes only.
