Pair of dimunitive mid-20th-century French Neoclassical wall sconces designed by the esteemed Parisian luxury house, Maison Lancel. Combining striking equestrian motifs with elegant Hollywood Regency flair, these sculptural wall fixtures make a commanding design statement.
Each sconce features a beautifully detailed, heavy cast-brass (or bronze) horse head emerging from a rounded backplate embellished with an incised coin-edge/guilloché geometric border. The horse brackets support a bell-shaped white opaline glass shade. The juxtaposition of the rich, warm gold patina against the clean white milk glass creates a sophisticated, timeless contrast. Newly wired for US installation.
