Danish set of six Razorblade dining chairs in solid oak, designed by Henning Kjærnulf for Nyrup Møbelfabrik, 1960s. The seats are upholstered in a deep red pile fabric.
The backrest is built from two broad horizontal rails, each cut with a wave profile. Together they frame two open voids, and the top rail rises into a notched, stepped edge.
The rear legs are faceted and taper toward the floor. The front legs have a shaped baluster profile, and all four legs are joined by low stretchers. A scalloped apron runs beneath the front seat rail.
The oak has a pronounced open grain and a warm honey patina. The hand-shaped detailing places the chairs between Danish Modern and a heavier, Brutalist and rustic sensibility.
