A wonderful antique Georgian period inlaid console table / side cabinet. This was made in England, and we would date it to around 1800–1820.
It is of very fine quality, with a quite unusual and very useful design. It is a perfect size to be used as a console table. The tambour doors roll back to reveal inner storage space. The top has a raised gallery, and there are lovely inlaid designs on the top and edges. It stands on tapered legs with small brass feet.
We have had this re-polished, and it is in excellent condition for its age. Some very minor and normal age-related wear and patina remain here and there.
