Conceived in the spirit of Art Deco, this seating ensemble consisting of two armchairs and a sofa dates from the 1930s in Czechoslovakia. The architectural design is attributed to Oldřich Liška for Vichr & Co. According to the vendor, the suite originates from the interior of Slavia Bank in Prague.
The design combines functionalist and Art Deco principles, featuring geometric forms, wide armrests and deep seats. The architectural framework of both the armchairs and the sofa is built upon cubic lines that reflect the character of a banking interior. The ensemble features brick-coloured textile upholstery with contrasting piping.
The entire seating ensemble is described as being in its original, well-preserved condition, retaining its original spring upholstery. Professional treatment and gentle cleaning have been carried out while preserving the historical patina and original craftsmanship details.
The suite is suitable for living rooms, offices and other spacious interiors. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
