A miniature lace-up mountain boot with a lugged sole, fitted with a hinged lid over the toe that opens onto a shallow ashtray well. A relief on the ankle shows an Alpine hat crossed with an ice axe beside an edelweiss blossom, and more edelweiss sprigs run along the sole. The boot, the axe and the flower all point to the mountains, so it makes a natural gift for a hiker or climber.
Size: 5.1 x 2.8 x 2.0 inches / 13 x 7 x 5 cm (length x height x width).
Made of aged brass-tone metal with a beaded rope border around the sole. The hinged lid is a slightly paler shade and is engraved on top with an edelweiss and a monogram of interlaced initials. There are no maker’s marks or stamps. Visible patina and surface variations are consistent with age, so please review the photographs for the details of the actual item.
