A premier example of Mid-Century Modern "Atomic" era California art pottery. This large-scale table lamp features a vibrant aqua-turquoise base glaze with a heavy metallic gold "splatter" drip overlay—often referred to as a "Galaxy" finish. The ceramic body features a deeply textured, vertical ridged pattern and an integrated tripod-style foot that provides an elevated, space-age profile.
Condition & Construction:
Body: Excellent vintage condition. The pottery body is free of chips, cracks, or repairs. The gold splatter remains bright and lustrous.
Integrity: Authentic vintage California Pottery. The interior of the neck shows authentic drip patterns from the firing process, confirming its hand-applied studio origin. Original felt remains on the base.
Hardware: Updated with a brand-new harp and a new coordinating finial.
Electrical: Features a vintage Leviton socket and is in confirmed working order, having been used recently. As with all vintage lighting, professional inspection or rewiring is recommended for safety.
