This authentic vintage piece beautifully captures seagulls soaring over a coastal seascape, utilizing a highly stylized composition heavily emulated during the peak of the California MCM art movement.

Measuring an impressive 43 inches square, this oversized canvas serves as a dramatic statement piece perfect for a living room, dining space, or entry entry wall. The artist utilizes a monochromatic, period-perfect palette of warm sepias, deep browns, tans, and creamy golds, accented by crisp graphic black lines. The birds feature a heavy, expressive impasto texture that catches the ambient light beautifully, giving the artwork magnificent depth and presence.
The painting is signed "Collins" in a clean, fluid script in the lower-left corner—a signature style highly representative of the prolific California studio workshops of the late 20th century. It comes housed in its original sleek vintage frame casing with a clean, authentic unlined canvas back showing period inventory notations.
