A set of seven Model 89 dining chairs by Erik Buch for Nova, dating to the 1960s. The matching group offers a cohesive Danish dining arrangement with a light, open profile.
Wooden frames are paired with leather upholstery, creating a contrast between the warm frame color and darker seating surfaces. The wood species has not been verified.
The chairs measure 19 inches wide and 14.5 inches deep, with a 30.75-inch overall height and 17.5-inch seat height. Their relatively low backs allow the dining table and surrounding room to remain visually open.
Maker's marks are noted underneath. All seven chairs are offered together as one set.
Condition
Vintage condition with discoloration, scuffs and scratches to the legs, and minor creasing and scuffs to the leather.
Style Notes
The clean frames and leather upholstery bring warmth and definition to a Danish Modern dining room. Pair the set with a simple rectangular table and focused pendant lighting to emphasize the repeated chair silhouettes.
