A highly collectible large Late Victorian ceramic wash basin pitcher crafted by the renowned Doulton Burslem pottery works in Stoke-on-Trent, England. Dating precisely between 1891 and 1901, this transitional piece perfectly captures the overlap between the late Aesthetic Movement and early Art Nouveau design sensibilities.
Adorned with the elegant "Mona" pattern, the vessel features intricate, romanticized blue-and-white transferware depicting flowing, asymmetrical carnations and wild botanical flora. The ornate scrolling detail on the handle and the patterned collar around the rim add layers of classic British craftsmanship to its substantial profile.
