An elegant Italian wall mirror from the 1950s, designed by Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte and featuring a refined structure of thick, curved glass that frames the central mirrored surface. The substantial glass—notable for its thickness—has gently rounded corners and creates an architectural frame with a strong sculptural presence. The central mirrored section is supported by two solid brass inserts—positioned at the top and bottom—that create a subtle floating effect and highlight the contrast between the glass, the reflective surface, and the metal. The combination of curved glass, brass, and rigorous proportions fully expresses the sophisticated language of Mid-Century Modern Italian design and the quality associated with Fontana Arte’s production under the creative direction of Max Ingrand. An example of great sophistication in design and craftsmanship, capable of combining function, material, and decorative presence. Dimensions: height 88 cm, width 58 cm.
