The Skagerrak series is a refined example of Danish lighting design, combining a simple sculptural silhouette with the soft luminosity of white opaline glass.

The beautifully proportioned shade creates a warm, diffused light, while its restrained form reflects the timeless principles of Scandinavian and Danish modern design. This pendant remains in its original vintage condition, with no chips or cracks to the glass. It retains its original label, an important detail for collectors and enthusiasts of Danish vintage design.

The piece also belongs to an important chapter in Danish glassmaking history. Founded in 1825, Holmegaard Glasværk became one of Denmark’s most significant glass producers, collaborating with renowned designers and establishing an international reputation for functional, sophisticated glass design. In 1985, Holmegaard became part of Royal Copenhagen, bringing together Denmark’s celebrated traditions in porcelain, glass and design.

The Skagerrak pendant beautifully represents this heritage: minimalist, elegant and distinctly Danish, making it a sophisticated addition to a contemporary interior or a valuable piece for a Scandinavian design collection.
