Rare pair of height-adjustable swing arm wall lamps by dřevo humpolec, manufactured in czechoslovakia during the 1960s. Both examples retain their original dřevo humpolec manufacturer labels. These distinctive mid-century modern lamps combine warm-toned wooden structures with cylindrical textured glass shades and metal fittings. The shades are surrounded by a rhythmic arrangement of sculptural wooden fins, giving the lamps a strong architectural quality from every angle. A particularly interesting feature is the adjustable wall-mounted construction. The horizontal arms can be repositioned vertically along the elongated wooden wall plates, while the projecting arms provide additional flexibility in positioning the light. This makes the pair especially practical beside a bed, sofa or reading area. When illuminated, the textured glass softly diffuses the light while the surrounding wooden elements create atmospheric patterns of light and shadow. The electrical wiring has been renewed. Each lamp is equipped with an inline switch and one e26/e27 socket and is compatible with european and us electrical systems. Good vintage condition with minor signs of use and age consistent with their age.
