The clock features … Read more This Louis XVI style mantelpiece set comprises a central clock and a pair of matching five-light candelabra.

The clock features a veined marble base resting on small gilt-bronze feet, in the center of which is an enamel dial with Arabic numerals, bearing the signature of the Nantes firm "Armand – Aubert – Nantes." A charming Louis XVI bow adorns the marble.
The set is surmounted by a spelter sculpture with a brown patina, signed Auguste Moreau, elegantly depicting a draped young woman seated on a rock.

The two candelabra rise from a marble base encircled by gilt-bronze garlands, from which springs a baluster stem entwined with chased acanthus leaves. The upper section unfolds into four richly ornamented, scrolled light arms, surrounding a fifth central candle holder with a floral finial, thus creating a set of five lights per candelabra.
