Elegant set of six French Art Deco dining chairs, made in France in the 1940s.
The black-lacquered wooden frames feature graceful proportions, geometric backs and tapered legs. The two front legs are accented with refined cylindrical brass ferrules, while the rear legs remain without ferrules.
The seats and backs have been carefully restored and newly upholstered in ivory velvet, selected to complement the refined decorative taste of the period. Red velvet trim follows the contours of the upholstery, creating a sophisticated dialogue between black, ivory and red.
A striking and highly decorative ensemble, equally suited to a formal dining room or a contemporary interior with a sophisticated Art Deco sensibility.
