A brass-rimmed glass disc, covered in saddle leather topstitched with colored thread, is suspended by a strap that passes through a visible loop and hangs down the wall.
Director of the Compagnie des Arts Français from 1928 to 1959, Jacques Adnet developed, starting in the 1950s, a whole vocabulary of metal covered in saddle-stitched leather, crafted in collaboration with the Hermès workshops: side tables, lamps, magazine racks, and mirrors.
The attribution remains to be confirmed. The leather bears the patina of its age; the piece is sold without restoration.
