This is what makes the PH 4/3 so beloved. It is a simplified version of the three-shade system Poul Henningsen first developed in the 1920s, and one of the last lamps he designed before his death.

Light is reflected between the shades before being dispersed into the room, creating a calm, balanced atmosphere. It works equally well above a dining table, in a living room or bedroom, or anywhere that deserves soft, glare-free light. This piece has an attribution mark,
