Dating to the first half of the 20th century, the piece features a beautifully decorated body supported by a base incorporating Moorish arch motifs, lending the design an architectural character inspired by traditional Islamic art and design.
The painted decoration showcases a vibrant palette of terracotta, turquoise, deep blue, ochre, and ivory. Geometric patterns and floral motifs are arranged in a harmonious, symmetrical composition, reflecting the decorative traditions of Moroccan craftsmanship. The intricate hand-painted ornamentation, combined with the warm, expressive colors, gives the piece a distinctive folk-art character and considerable visual appeal.
Designed to serve as both a coffee table and a storage trunk, the piece incorporates a front door that opens to reveal practical storage space within. Measuring approximately 25 inches high, 32 inches wide, and 20 inches deep, it is a versatile decorative furnishing that can be used in a living room, sitting area, or eclectic interior. Its architectural details, vibrant colors, and richly decorated surfaces make it an appealing accent for Moroccan, Mediterranean, bohemian, or globally inspired interiors. See less
