Massimo D'Orta was born in Naples in 1950 where he currently lives and works.
Atypical character in contemporary art: he has been producing paintings for about 35 years, but exposes very little. Rare in fact are his public appearances: as if his vision of making it was very similar to that of the painter of the Paleolithic who made his graffiti in the darkest part of his cave not for an aesthetic purpose, but to satisfy a psychic need made inside to soothe his fears and anxieties.
