This exquisite vintage brush pot is a fine example of traditional lacquerware craftsmanship. The piece features a striking hexagonal form, finished in a deep, lustrous black lacquer. The exterior is meticulously hand-painted with a dynamic, gilded dragon motif, surrounded by stylized auspicious clouds in hues of blue, green, and gold. The dragon is depicted in pursuit of a flaming pearl, a classic symbol of wisdom and power.
The brush pot is further accented with fine gilt lines along the top and bottom rims, adding a touch of elegance. The interior is finished in a contrasting, rich dark red lacquer. The base bears a red, square seal mark. This piece is not only a functional desk accessory but also a beautiful display of traditional artistry.
