Pol chambost, in the style of. Pair of pear-shaped lamps in cracked blue ceramics. Quadripod circular base in black lacquered wood. Gilt bronze mount. Work was realized in the 19th century. New and functional electric system. Dimensions: h 29 x d 12 cm
pol chambost (1902-1983) was a french ceramist and sculptor known for his new approach to decorative and table arts. After studying in the school of applied arts, he started working with his father as a funeral sculptor. He became fascinated about ceramics which he used to create his first artworks and he opened his studio. He would develop there his technic and begin the serial production. Throughout his prolific career, his unique and innovative pieces aroused a lot of interest in france as in the us. This piece is designed in the style of the selected designer and/or manufacturer,
