A chinoiserie-style table lamp, likely dating from the 1970s. The rectangular, chamfered base is made of beige composite material and rests on a molded octagonal plinth. The front is adorned with a circular medallion depicting an Asian landscape inspired by the 'Blue Willow' motif: pagodas, weeping willows, a bridge, birds in flight, and figures in a boat, executed in shades of brown and gold on an ivory background. A bright gold cylindrical stem connects the base to the pagoda-shaped lampshade, made of ivory fabric with a metal frame. The slightly concave sides end in truncated corners, characteristic of the style.
The lamp is in good overall condition. The lampshade shows some minor signs of wear. The wiring is original and includes a vintage-style in-line switch – in perfect working order.
