This version, with its … Read more A striking vintage wall-mounted coat rack in the typical sputnik/atom design of the space age era. This version, with its all-black central body and black ball-shaped finials, appears significantly more graphic and minimalist than the colored version.

numerous chrome-plated metal arms radiate outwards from the rounded-oval central section in various directions. Each arm terminates in a black ball and serves as a coat hook for jackets, bags, hats, scarves, or accessories. The varying lengths and angles of the hooks create the characteristic dynamic sputnik look.

the coat rack is connected to a round wall plate by a sturdy, curved chrome arm. This allows the hook body to protrude noticeably from the wall, giving it an almost sculptural effect. The combination of gleaming chrome and black plastic is strongly reminiscent of futuristic interiors from the 1970s and 1980s.
