Created in the late 1940s by danish designer poul cadovius, the royal system bookshelf is now considered an icon of 20th-century scandinavian design. A visionary in his approach to wall-mounted furniture, cadovius conceived a modular, suspended system that frees up floor space while bringing lightness and elegance to interiors. This new royal system composition highlights the minimalist aesthetic of 1950s danish design. Its layout combines shelves and storage elements in a harmonious whole, where functionality and clean lines are combined with refinement. Thanks to its modular mounting system, the different elements can be arranged according to needs and desires, allowing for the creation of a bookshelf that is both practical and architectural. A true benchmark of post-war design, the royal system testifies to poul cadovius's expertise and his innovative vision of wall storage, combining space optimization, modularity, and scandinavian elegance. This bookcase is very well equipped with its various modules, each with a different function. It boasts a beautiful original patina and is in excellent vintage condition. The drawer tops have been restored with an eco-labeled varnish. The shelves and drawers are then inserted at the desired height using the tool-free "royal system" fixing system: curved black steel rod hooks.
