This sculptural sideboard was conceived as an architectural object before being a piece of furniture. It is conceived as a functional monolith, a solid and silent volume that occupies space with authority, without the need for mediation or decoration.
The body is defined by a textured surface obtained through manual processing of natural stone, marble powder, quartz, and agate. These mineral materials are combined and crafted to create a compact and deep skin, where the material is not decoration but visual structure. The sculpted front introduces a controlled rhythm of solids and voids, allowing light to flow across the surface without breaking it, making the form legible but never descriptive.
When closed, the four flush doors are fully integrated into the overall design, making the piece appear as a single continuous block. The upper surface is conceived as a single slab, without visible joints, reinforcing the idea of mass, stability, and permanence.
The interior, crafted in walnut, introduces a bold and intentional contrast. The opening of the cabinet marks the transition from the mineral world to the wooden one, from sculptural gesture to function. The interior compartments are essential, orderly, and precisely constructed, designed to last over time without sacrificing rigor.
Inside the cabinet is a brass plaque signed by the designer, the only declared sign of authorship, discreet yet unmistakable. This detail emphasizes the collectible nature of the piece and the artisanal care of its production.
This sideboard is not designed to complement a space, but to define it. It functions as a standalone object, capable of anchoring high-end residential environments, private collections, or exhibition spaces. It does not follow trends or seek consensus: it is designed to last, to assert itself with moderation, and to endure over time.
