Pair of napoleon iii period lamps, with black porcelain stems glazed with stylized floral decoration.
the motifs, painted in fine gold and enhanced with delicate pinkish-purple petals, perfectly illustrate the naturalistic aesthetic of the late napoleon iii and early art nouveau periods, blending flowing curves and stylized vegetation.
the bases are made of finely chased bronze, resting on openwork feet typical of late 19th- and early 20th-century production.
the upper mounts, also in bronze, retain their original fittings (to be verified according to future use).
these are striking decorative pieces, very harmonious in design.
