A playful nod to the Japanese decorative spirit from Danish glassworks Holmegaard, the “Sakura” lamp series was designed by the brilliant Michael Bang. The spherical lamp base is made of white opaline glass, tormented with pretty blue clouds. This is the “Store Kugle” model, small ball.
The Scandinavian lamp is made of opalescent glass, with blue shades. Both lamp and shade are original and in very good condition. Shade can be adjusted in height . Top of shade has a cover so that light will only shine downwards. It can be removed.
It was made in Denmark by the Holmegaard glassworks in the 1980s. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
from
misattribution,
European Plug (up to 250V).The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
