An exceptional vintage floor lamp that impresses with its slender silhouette, contrasting combination of materials, and distinctively shaped lamp head. The chrome-plated stem flows into a black, fluted gooseneck, at the end of which sits an organically shaped lampshade made of black lacquered metal. The combination of clean geometric lines and soft, flowing forms gives the lamp a distinctive aesthetic characteristic of functional lighting design from the late 1970s and early 1980s.
The contrast between the gleaming chrome, the deep black metal, and the white interior of the lampshade is particularly striking. The compact, round base emphasizes the minimalist design and makes the lamp appear remarkably delicate despite its height.
The floor lamp is in good vintage condition. The black base and the chrome-plated frame show slight signs of age, which underscore the authentic character of the original. The black lacquered lamp head is also well preserved.
The flexible gooseneck works flawlessly and allows for individual adjustment of the lamp head. This makes it possible to direct the light precisely to a specific area. The on/off switch is integrated directly into the lamp socket and is easily accessible.
