The sconces feature a distinctive layered circular construction combining white lacquered metal with polished chrome-plated metal. A projecting circular chrome reflector conceals the bulb from direct view and reflects the light back onto the larger white disc, creating a halo effect and soft atmospheric illumination.

the combination of concentric forms, reflective chrome and white lacquer gives the pair a distinctly futuristic appearance characteristic of italian space age lighting of the period. When switched off, the highly polished central elements act almost like convex mirrors; when illuminated, the fixtures become sculptural glowing objects.
