The softly rounded, organic form of the base and stem is characteristic of the expressive Mid-Century Modern and Space Age design of the period.

The lamp is paired with a vintage textile shade in a matching warm ochre-yellow tone, creating a particularly harmonious monochromatic appearance. The woven shade has a subtle texture and is decorated with several horizontal ornamental bands in a muted gold-green tone. On this example, the bands are wider and more pronounced, giving the shade a slightly bolder graphic appearance.

There are two examples in our collection that are almost identical in form and colour, but have slightly different shades: one features narrower decorative bands, while the other has wider, more pronounced bands. This subtle variation gives each lamp its own character while making them especially attractive as a pair.

The lamp has two independently operated light sources, allowing the illumination of the base and shade to be used separately or together. When lit, the ochre glass and textile shade create a wonderfully warm, atmospheric glow.
