Bound in a deeply patinated black vulcanized canvas finish, this robust travel chest features contrasting polished brass-plated corner bumpers, heavy-duty structural stud detailing, and its original dual-latch drawbolt closures. Rugged leather carry handles flank both sides, securely anchored by heavy iron hardware cap mountings. Opening the trunk reveals its original grid-patterned linen fabric lining, showcasing an incredible time-worn historic character.

Boasting an ideal "cabin size" silhouette with a completely flat lid, its profile is exceptionally versatile for modern interior styling. It serves beautifully as a distinctive coffee table, entryway storage bench, blanket chest, or statement end-of-bed accent piece.

Dimensions:
36.0"W × 20.0"D × 16.0"H

Condition:
Good, vintage unrestored condition. Shows a beautifully authentic, earned patina from its travels, including exterior surface scratches, scuffs, and a visible area of historic finish loss on the bottom left front corner. The interior linen lining is fully intact but shows widespread historic discoloration, foxing, and staining consistent with its age. One latch is detached and included, the other latch functions smoothly, and the structural integrity remains perfectly sound.
