This beautiful pair of lamps by Marbro Lamp Co. reflect the dramatic Hollywood Regency aesthetic popularized by designer James Mont. These mid-century statement pieces mimic ancient Chinese bronze vessels. They are characterized by a rich, dark patinated metal finish, a high-relief textured midsection displaying raised details, and distinct ring handle castings. The bodies sit atop dark onyx octagonal bases.
Pictured is the original Marbro electrical hardware with exaggerated neck. When restoring Marbo lamps for modern installation, we always convert this dated setup to a standard harp & saddle with a 3-Way socket. This makes the shading process much easier and much more flexible.
