Made by Empire Art Gold in the early 1920s , its beautifully detailed gilt-metal frame is adorned with delicate floral engraving, intricate openwork corners, and sparkling jewel-toned glass stones in emerald green, rose pink, and deep garnet. Romantic ribbon-and-bow handles grace either end, while beneath the glass lies a lovely piece of ivory floral lace, with its delicate scrolling flowers and wonderfully intricate border. The original gold patina has that gorgeous, timeworn richness that simply cannot be reproduced. Carefully disassembled, cleaned, and restored, this is a truly special little treasure, perfect for displaying perfume bottles, favorite jewels, or simply enjoying on its own.
