The sculptural teardrop forms, dramatic elongated spouts and distinctive dark-wrapped handles make this one of Reed & Barton’s most recognizable modernist designs. Includes the original tray (1505) and an extra coffee pot (1500).

This offering includes:

* No. 1500 Coffee Pot

* No. 1501 Teapot

* No. 1502 Covered Sugar Bowl

* No. 1503 Creamer

* No. 1505 Large Matching Serving Tray

* Additional No. 1500 Coffee Pot

The original No. 1504 waste bowl is not included, so I am not representing this as a complete six-piece service. The large matching No. 1505 tray is included and is an especially important part of the presentation.

The pieces are in very good vintage, pre-owned condition overall, with some patina, light scuff and other signs of age and normal use. There is a small area of plating loss approximately 1/8 inch or less on the large serving tray with light scuff expected with normal use. The covered sugar bowl has a lightly engraved letter “W,” approximately 1 1/2 - 2” inches tall. The engraving is subtle but is disclosed for accuracy.

The additional coffee pot retains an attractive light, even patina and because of its beauty has not been recently polished.

Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the condition description. The highly reflective silverplate naturally shows reflections from the surrounding room and photographer in some photographs.

A striking and increasingly difficult-to-find example of American Mid-Century Modern silver design, particularly with the large matching Dimension tray.
