The base is dark mahogany-stained wood featuring two lyre-shaped uprights with carved floral and acanthus detail at the junctions, four scrolled feet, and a curved stretcher connecting the base. A continuous carved rose and leaf garland runs the full length of the apron on both long sides — the carving is deeply detailed and intact throughout. See less

Marble top: The surface has staining from adhesive residue left by a previous owner who had glued red felt to the top. The staining has been cleaned as much as possible but remains visible. The marble also has a crack that runs through the full thickness of the stone. Both the staining and the crack are visible in the photos. Apron: Two areas of finish loss on the apron with raw wood visible, on one end of the table. Visible in photos. Base: The underside stretcher platform shows finish wear and discoloration consistent with age. One lyre leg has a small spot of finish loss. The carved rose garland apron and lyre base are the standout features of this table and are structurally sound and visually striking. This piece would suit a buyer comfortable with the marble condition or open to replacing the marble top. Always available to answer questions or provide additional photos. less
