A single full-width drawer sits beneath the overhanging top with its stepped, moulded edge, above two doors with moulded frames. The drawer front and the door panels are veneered in burl walnut, the two panels book-matched. The door frames and the sides show straight-grained walnut veneer, and a moulded astragal runs between the doors. Fluted pilasters flank the front, finished top and bottom with carved scrolls, with a diamond-point block above each at drawer level. Turned bun feet stand at the front, plain block feet at the back. The escutcheons are cast brass with ornament.

Inside, two shelves divide the interior into three compartments. The back, made of vertical boards, and the secondary wood are softwood. An old inscription is visible on the inside of the central back board. The right door has a brass lock. See less
