Pair of brass wall sconces by Boréns, model 6477, produced in Sweden around 1970.
Each sconce consists of a wide, slightly curved backplate in polished brass, in front of which sits a semi-circular shade in satin-finished brass. This shade is enlivened by numerous irregular perforations in the metal, giving the light a particularly graphic effect when the sconce is illuminated.
The two sconces form a true Brutalist pair. One retains its original Boréns label bearing the reference 6477, allowing for precise model identification.
The sconces have been rewired with new wiring and are ready for installation. Technical Details
