Pair of large italian wall sconces dating from the 1950s, characterized by a slender architectural structure and elongated opaline glass diffusers. Each fixture features a round brass wall plate supporting a long arm, also entirely made of brass, gently curved at the upper section and extending vertically below the diffuser.
the satin opaline glass shades have an organic tapered form and are secured by small brass pins, producing a soft and diffused light. The combination of brass with its original patina and satin white glass gives these vintage wall sconces / wall lamps / appliqués a distinctive italian mid-century modern character.
the brass surfaces retain their original patina, with oxidation, tonal variations and minor age-related imperfections. The opaline glass diffusers are in good vintage condition, with light signs of use. Overall in good vintage condition.
