Striking Chinese blue-and-white porcelain table lamp featuring an elegant square vase-form body decorated with stylized chrysanthemum-like blossoms, scrolling vines and traditional foliate motifs. The porcelain is mounted on a dark wood square plinth and fitted with aged brass hardware and a turned wood finial.

This is a substantial decorator lamp with excellent presence. Its tall architectural form and richly patterned blue-and-white porcelain work equally well in traditional, Asian-inspired, coastal, transitional or eclectic interiors.

The lamp is completed by a generously proportioned ivory pleated linen shade with a softly shaped lower edge. The shade complements the proportions of the narrow vase-form body particularly well.

Overall height to finial: 31 in., Base: 5.5 in. square

Very good vintage condition. Lamp is tested and working. Porcelain and wood base presents very well with no cracks or damage, a small amount of black paints has rubbed off base. Brass fittings show age-appropriate patina. Pleated linen shade bright with a few very minor smudges consistent with use. Please see photographs for condition and details. See less
