American Primitive Folk Art Graphic & Celestial Game Board 24”Lx14.75”Wx1.25”H with Moon & Stars is signed by Maloney Wayne Pennsylvania 1986.
The board features a vertical red and black checkerboard flanked by matching celestial panels with a star, full moon, and crescent moon. The board is identical to a famous American Folk Art Game Board with Moon and Stars, historically that dated back to 1910–1920.
Based on the location and specific style, it is highly likely that this gameboard was made by Marti Maloney an artist who was active in local folk art circles, art programs, and seasonal art exhibits at places like the Wayne Art Center.
