Howard Terpning's "Woman of the Sioux," a 1982 limited edition offset lithograph published by The Greenwich Workshop. It is hand signed and numbered 830/1000, and the Greenwich Workshop certificate of authenticity is affixed to the back.
Terpning shows a Sioux woman kneeling in a white hide dress with a blue beaded yoke, painted with the quiet, respectful attention to Plains life that made him one of the most collected Western artists of his generation. Born in 1927, he was a longtime member of the Cowboy Artists of America.
It is professionally framed in a gilt wood frame with a double mat and a blue, white and orange inner liner. Framed size is about 26 inches wide by 30 inches tall.
