Each stirrup features a sturdy, arched gilt-bronze frame with a flat, oval footrest. The footrests are richly decorated in cloisonné enamel on a deep red ground, featuring intricate, multi-colored floral motifs and scrolling vine patterns in shades of blue, green, yellow, and white, centered around a pierced, gilt-bronze auspicious symbol or coin motif. The upper section of each stirrup is cast with a detailed, stylized dragon head, and the sides are adorned with enameled red panels featuring gilt scrollwork. The base of each footrest is finished with a classic geometric key-fret border in gilt bronze. The pieces exhibit a rich, aged patina with the enamel showing minor wear and the gilding displaying a warm luster.
