The beautifully sculpted frame is composed of repeating leaf forms that extend outward from the mirror in a graceful sunburst arrangement, creating a design that blends the naturalistic elegance of French Revival styling with the bold decorative influence of the Art Deco era.

The warm gilt finish has mellowed beautifully with age, developing an attractive patina that accentuates the depth and detail of the molded ornamentation. The floral embellishments at the crest and the softly rounded foliate rays give the piece a refined presence without the sharp geometry often associated with later Deco designs.

The mirror retains its original character, including scattered tiny black spots to the silvering that are consistent with age and add to its authentic vintage appeal. The reverse retains its pressed wood backing and a wire hanger.

A handsome and substantial decorative mirror that displays beautifully and would be equally at home in Art Deco, French Revival, traditional, cottage, or eclectic interiors.
