Each bed features an elegant, gently arched headboard and footboard with finely woven cane panels, centered by a prominent oval medallion framed in intricately carved floral garlands. Fluted corner posts, classical leaf carvings, decorative finials, and carved borders reflect the refined neoclassical vocabulary associated with French Louis XVI furniture.

The original-style painted finish has developed a lovely patina, with areas of natural wear, rubbing, and exposed wood that lend warmth and character to the pair. The beds rest on slender turned legs fitted with casters, an especially charming period detail.
