The figure’s exaggerated, voluptuous proportions, compact composition, and serene expression recall the distinctive figurative vocabulary of Fernando Botero.

Beautifully sculpted with smooth, rounded limbs, delicately incised hair, and intricately textured clothing, the piece balances softness of form with remarkable carved detail. The reclining pose creates an intimate, almost contemplative quality, while the sculpture’s substantial 17-pound weight gives it an impressive physical presence despite its relatively compact size.

An evocative example of modernist figurative sculpture, equally compelling viewed from multiple angles. A sophisticated addition to a collected interior, displayed on a console, pedestal, bookshelf, or coffee table. Also well-suited for outdoor display. See less
