Dynamic brutalist sculpture by Harold Einhorn depicting a girl skipping rope. Unlike most of Einhorn’s known mid-century modern (MCM) works, this unusual example features a vivid blue glass head which brings an unexpected hint of whimsy to the elongated, textured welded-metal figure. Signed “Einhorn” on the wooden base.
Measurements: approximately 20.5" H x 6" W x 6" D
Weight: approximately 3 lbs.
A distinctive example of mid-century studio sculpture with strong visual presence, perfect for a MCM, brutalist, studio art, or modernist collection.
Offered as found; aside from very light dusting, we’ve made no attempt to clean or restore the piece, preferring to leave any conservation to a qualified specialist at the purchaser’s discretion.

Minor surface wear, oxidation/patina, scratches, and imperfections to the metal and base. The glass element appears intact. There is very slight “give” around the metal pegs securing the sculpture to its wooden pedestal if the piece is lifted by the figure rather than the base. That said, the figure does not wobble when displayed. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are part of the condition description. Always happy to answer questions about condition or available provenance before any purchase. Thank you. less
