Excellent leather tooled interior, walnut inner side , many pigeonholes and drawers, I have the key. It's really basically in great shape. I tried to find defects and photographed them. Notice the inset string banding and extensive use of walnut . Please carefully review the photos. I'm not certain if is been refinished or original or the age , I'm no expert. I bought it in coastal Virginia about 10 years ago. It fits in any room with many decors. See less

- Basically very fine condition. The left upper side of the slat door noted in pic. There's a slight separation towards … moreBasically very fine condition. The left upper side of the slat door noted in pic. There's a slight separation towards the center just above the door. The right side corner just over the leg had a slight scuff which polished out. The key is very tricky .I'm not skilled enough to know the Country or origin ,the age, or if it was refinished . Ask an expert to look over the photos or bring an expert to see it. I think it's a very dainty desk with minor imperfections that might means it's older than it looks. The burl looks to be used on the inner sides of the desk. I'm told the workmanship and use of details and materials is of higher level of cabinetmaking. less
