An exceptional 1950s Italian Mid-Century Modern console table featuring sculptured, dynamic lines and high-quality craftsmanship. This piece showcases dramatic, bentwood Y-shaped/forked leg uprights that elevate the floating design. Suspended between the legs is a warm walnut/beech lattice-work basket or trough, providing a striking tactile contrast to the sleek black frame and the clear floating glass top.
The design reflects the distinct stylistic influences of legendary 1950s Italian masters like Cesare Lacca, and Gio Ponti, known for mixing organic wood craft with airy glass and bold architectural silhouettes.
Perfect as an entryway console, hallway focal point, or sofa table in modern, vintage, or eclectic interiors.
Excellent vintage condition consistent with age and use; solid frame and clean glass top.
