A wonderful pendant ceiling lamp in the shape of a large globe, inspired by the designs of Maison Baguès. The piece features a large, openwork globular body composed of a ribbed metal structure decorated with olive branches. Eight symmetrically arranged arms extend from the base, each holding a single light.

The lamp is inspired by the designs of the prestigious French firm Maison Baguès. Baguès was founded in Auvergne around 1840 and became internationally renowned as a creator of artistic lighting. Initially specializing in liturgical bronze, the company's bronze lighting developed rapidly with the widespread use of electricity in the late 19th century. During the 1920s, Victor and Robert Baguès expanded their father's bronze lighting collection and created their own iron designs. Between the two world wars, their development extended to the international stage, and permanent establishments were opened in New York, Rome, and Cairo. The firm is characterized by its mastery of ironwork, having created railings and gates for iconic areas of Paris, such as the Champs-Élysées, which are still preserved today, representing Parisian luxury, essence, and tradition.

Furthermore, the olive tree, olive branches, and leaves hold a wealth of symbolism and meaning. Since classical antiquity, olive branches or wreaths were awarded as prizes to the winners of the Olympic Games; For Christianity, olive branches are a symbol of prosperity and protection, and generally, an olive branch is a global symbol of peace.
