Large Sunburst wall mirror in the Brutalist style, made of cut, worked, and welded metal, likely in Europe around the 1960s or 1970s.
The composition is organized around a central circular mirror, surrounded by a prominent ring of long, irregular, overlapping metal points. Their radiating arrangement evokes, alternately, a sun, flames, or long stylized leaves.
The metal has a dark patina, with shades of brown, black, and oxidized bronze, punctuated by irregular touches of gold applied to some of the ends and weld areas. These contrasts particularly highlight the sculptural character and depth of the mirror.
The construction is intentionally expressive: irregular cuts, weld marks, and surface variations remain visible and contribute fully to its Brutalist aesthetic. The execution appears to be the work of a craftsman or workshop, rather than industrial production.
